About Us at the High Tide Takeout
My earliest memory of the ocean was digging clams with my father on Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island where he grew up. My father loves seafood and still fishes anywhere, digs clams when he can and even harvests fresh oysters in Great Bay. As a kid growing up my family ate a lot of fresh seafood. I grew up in Maine and it seemed almost natural for my first and only job to be in a seafood restaurant. I have been a part of serving the freshest seafood in New England for the last 27 years and my son Doug has been in the business for 3 years now. In fact there is over 60 years of seafood experience in the photo below, an additional 10 years of restaurant experience, and we have another 20 years of experience that couldn’t make the picture. That’s 110 years of customer service experience. We feel fortunate to have had such a friendly and experienced crew passed on to us. They are really great and will do an excellent job for you.
We are excited to have taken ownership of the High Tide Takeout Restaurant in Hillsborough, that has its’ own tradition of serving fresh seafood, chicken and ice cream. We will work hard to continue the High Tide tradition of serving great seafood at a great price with a friendly smile!!!
